We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to join our team at New River Electrical Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our financial operations, including accounts payable, payroll, and cash receipt processes.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Leadership: Provide expert guidance on accounting matters and lead process improvement initiatives to optimize financial operations.
- Team Management: Manage and lead accounts payable and payroll teams, and cash receipt processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions.
- Payroll and Benefits: Oversee bi-weekly payroll processing for non-bargain employees, ensure accurate on/off-boarding of bargain and non-bargain employees, and assist with payroll union audits.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports for management and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to multi-state sales, use, and payroll taxation.
- Process Improvement: Identify and drive process improvements to enhance financial operations and reduce costs.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures, and maintain electronic and physical filing systems.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of related work experience in accounting.
- Skills: Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, and high level of attention to detail.
