Job Description:Actalent is seeking a skilled Manufacturing/Production Engineer to support our Assembly Production Engineering group.
The production engineer position encompasses four primary responsibilities: Capital Projects (35-40%), Troubleshooting (10%), Downtime/Quality Investigations (20-30%), and Tooling Design/Design for Manufacturing (10%).
The role involves identifying areas to reduce headcount and automate processes within capital projects, supporting troubleshooting when maintenance cannot resolve issues, and designing tooling for welding from prints provided by the new product development team.
Candidates will split their time between project management responsibilities and hands-on troubleshooting of equipment. Project responsibilities include working with vendors/suppliers, managing new launch activities, performing machine builds/installations, reducing downtime, etc.
When issues arise that neither Maintenance nor Quality teams can resolve, the PE group will assist in troubleshooting or repairing the equipment/processes.
During project support, candidates will perform design for manufacturing work, including tooling, fixtures, and machines using CATIA.
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 1-4 years of applicable work experience post-education
- Assembly or relevant manufacturing engineering experience from a volume automotive/equipment/heavy industrial manufacturing employer
- Tooling/Fixture Design experience - Design for Manufacturing
