Job Overview

As a vital member of our team, the Housekeeping Room Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of our guest accommodations. This position requires a commitment to excellence and adherence to our service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold the I-Serve standards consistently.
  • Comply with all company policies and departmental procedures.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Report to the designated workstation at the scheduled time.
  • Identify and propose improvements to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.

Departmental Duties:

  • Execute all assigned tasks promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensure that guest rooms and villas are impeccably clean and well-presented.
  • Report any maintenance issues or deficiencies in assigned areas without delay.
  • Keep all public spaces clean and well-maintained.
  • Ensure safety by keeping corridors and stairways unobstructed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in housekeeping storage areas and carts.
  • Restock attendant carts at the end of each shift.
  • Participate in meetings and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Promptly return lost and found items to the housekeeping manager.
  • Adhere to the Welk Resorts Signature Guest Engagement service standards.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum of six months of relevant experience or training preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience in housekeeping or janitorial services is advantageous.
  • Ability to utilize mobile devices for task management.

Language Proficiency:

Must possess the ability to read and interpret safety guidelines, operational instructions, and procedural manuals. Effective communication skills are essential for interaction with guests and team members. Proficiency in English is required.

Reasoning Skills:

Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions in various formats. Capable of addressing problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations. Must be flexible and able to adapt to changes while maintaining effective working relationships.

Physical Requirements:

This position involves physical demands that include:

  • Regularly standing, walking, and using hands for various tasks.
  • Occasionally lifting and moving items weighing up to 100 pounds.

Work Environment:

The work environment is typically moderate to noisy, with exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
