Tax Consultant

The State and Local Tax Associate or Senior Tax Associate will play a key role in our team at PKF O'Connor Davies, working closely with partners, managers, and clients to provide expert tax consulting services. This individual will be responsible for researching and drafting tax memoranda, creating spreadsheets, and addressing tax credits, audits, and filing positions.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare sales tax and other tax returns with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Conduct research and provide expert advice on various tax engagements.
- Respond to inquiries from state tax authorities and interact with seniors, managers, partners, and clients.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university required; Master's degree in Taxation a plus.
- 2-3 years of progressive experience working in State and Local Tax.
- CPA firm experience preferred.
- CPA or EA certification preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
