About the RoleAs a Paramedic at Grand Strand Medical Center, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Emergency Department. You will work closely with our team of experienced healthcare professionals to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care.
Key Responsibilities- Administer medications and provide personal hygiene assistance to patients
- Assist with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) and transport patients to various destinations within the facility
- Proactively manage room turnover and cleaning between ED patients
- Assist with waiting room flow management and monitor vital signs
- Initiate IV sites, perform phlebotomy, and collect specimens for lab and/or point-of-care testing
- Perform EKGs within acceptable emergent timeframes and observe cardiac monitors
