We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Director to join our team at Rx relief. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications in our pharmacy practice settings.
Key Responsibilities- Medication Management: Ensure the appropriate and safe use of drug therapy, reviewing patient medication profiles for appropriateness, toxicity, efficacy, drug interactions, and adverse drug reactions.
- Collaboration with Healthcare Professionals: Work with other healthcare professionals to identify and resolve drug-related problems, and provide drug consultations as needed.
- Order Review and Verification: Review physician order entries for appropriateness and accuracy, and resolve any issues with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Pharmacotherapy Planning: Recommend patient-specific pharmacotherapy plans, and provide assistance with medication reconciliation.
- Research and Education: Maintain current knowledge of drugs, drug therapy, state and federal regulations, and hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Leadership and Supervision: Supervise the work of technicians and students, and prepare and/or supervise the preparation of and checking of I.V. syringes, small volume I.V. admixtures, TPN, LVP's, chemotherapy, and miscellaneous sterile compounding.
- Licensure: Must have an active and in good standing TN State Pharmacist License.
- Education: B.S. degree in Pharmacy.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in a pharmacy practice setting.
- Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Pay: $70.00 per hour.
