Opportunity for a Dentist

PsyPhyCare, a division of Business Staffing of America, Inc., is seeking a Dentist to provide care at a Federally supported client in Grafton, MA.

The client provides care at a Wellness Center servicing at-risk youth on a residential campus to prepare them for meaningful employment. Students' ages range from 16 to 24 years.

Period of Performance

The Dentist will work 7.5 hours per week or 1 day out of the normal work week. The Facility is open Monday-Friday 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. with weekends off.

Dental services will not be scheduled on federal Government holidays and are not required during the period of Center-wide student leave (approximately two weeks, twice yearly).

The Dentist will conduct a dental readiness inspection within 14 days after entry to identify urgent care needs for oral conditions that, if not treated, are expected to result in dental emergencies in the near future.

Specific Procedures

The Dentist will perform:

  • Restorations
  • Extraction of pathological teeth
  • Root canal therapy on anterior and other strategic teeth
  • Replacement of missing upper anterior teeth with a removable prosthesis

Roles and Responsibilities

The Dentist will:

  • Refer students to off-center facilities as necessary for emergent or urgent conditions treatable beyond the expertise of a general dentist
  • Provide oral disease prevention education and management, including oral strategies, risk assessments, and group education
  • Develop and comply with infection control policies and procedures
  • Review and sign Health Care Guidelines annually for dental care in accordance with PRH requirements
  • Advise and consult with the Center Director and Center staff on oral health and dental programmatic issues
  • Ensure regular preventive maintenance is provided to the dental equipment

Qualifications of Contractor Personnel

The Dentist must be licensed with the state, have malpractice/professional liability insurance and general liability insurance, and have a current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration number.
