Animal Care Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a part-time Animal Attendant to join our team at the County of Atlantic Animal Shelter. The successful candidate will be responsible for caring for, feeding, and grooming dogs, cats, and other animals, as well as performing related tasks as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Care for and feed animals, including dogs, cats, and other animals
- Groom animals, including brushing, bathing, and trimming
- Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks, including cleaning living quarters and adjacent areas
- Assist with animal intake and adoption processes
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work a variable schedule, including weekends
- Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for long periods
- Valid driver's license (if required to operate a vehicle)
Working Conditions: The Animal Attendant will work in a fast-paced animal shelter environment, with exposure to animals, noise, and potentially hazardous materials. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to animal welfare and customer service.
