Teaching Artist Opportunity at The Woodruff Arts Center

The Woodruff Arts Center is seeking a dynamic and experienced Teaching Artist to join our Learning and Civic Engagement Department. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in creating engaging and accessible experiences with art for diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and facilitate inquiry-based conversation programs about the High's collection and special exhibitions.
  • Design and facilitate onsite professional learning seminars for PreK-12 educators.
  • Co-develop, prepare for, and facilitate studio workshops for various audiences.
  • Attend annual teaching intensive series and monthly professional development meetings to expand teaching skills and knowledge of museum audiences.

This part-time, temporary position may not exceed 32 hours per week and offers a competitive hourly rate. If you are passionate about art education and community engagement, we encourage you to apply.

Requirements:
  • Experience in art education and program development.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse audiences and staff.
