Staff Pharmacist and Healthcare Leader

Job Summary
This is a full-time position with CVS Health, a leading healthcare provider. As a Staff Pharmacist, you'll be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our pharmacy, including patient safety, professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, personnel management, inventory management, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow management.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Safety: Ensure the safe and effective use of medications, including patient education and counseling.
- Pharmacy Professional Practice: Lead and direct your Pharmacy Technician Support Staff to provide high-quality patient care.
- Regulatory Requirements: Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and laws, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines.
- Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and pharmacy operations.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient concerns and resolving issues promptly.
- Personnel Management: Motivate, inspire, and develop your Pharmacy Support Staff to achieve their full potential.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock and minimizing waste.
- Financial Profitability: Contribute to the financial success of the pharmacy, implementing cost-saving initiatives and maximizing revenue.
- Loss Prevention: Identify and mitigate potential losses, ensuring the security of CVS Health assets.
- Workflow Management: Optimize pharmacy workflows, improving efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
- Active Pharmacy License: Must be licensed to practice pharmacy in the state where employed.
- DEA Certification: Must be certified by the DEA to handle controlled substances.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree is preferred.
