Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive credit policy, ensuring its alignment with the company's overall business strategy
  • Design and implement a credit scoring model to evaluate customer creditworthiness
  • Manage customer credit files, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
  • Monitor the credit granting and updating process, identifying areas for improvement
  • Review and approve credit applications, making informed decisions based on creditworthiness and business needs
  • Negotiate credit terms with customers, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key customers, fostering trust and open communication
  • Conduct regular credit reviews of all customer accounts, identifying potential risks and opportunities
  • Manage the application of late fees, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Oversee the corporate financing program, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Develop and track key performance metrics to measure department performance
  • Stay up-to-date with current credit laws and best practices, applying this knowledge to inform credit decisions
  • Manage relationships with collection agencies, credit reporting agencies, and credit insurance providers
  • Collaborate with outside sales representatives to resolve customer credit issues and improve sales performance
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex credit data and make informed decisions
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to think strategically, with a deep understanding of the company's business objectives and credit policies
  • Knowledge of credit laws and regulations, with the ability to apply this knowledge to inform credit decisions
  • Familiarity with credit best practices, with the ability to stay up-to-date with industry developments
  • Minimum 5+ years of credit experience, with a strong understanding of credit principles and practices
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience, with a focus on finance, accounting, or a related field
