Job Overview
The Boeing Company is on the lookout for a Senior Paralegal to enhance our commercial contracting efforts within the Indirect Supply Chain Law team. This role is pivotal in managing internal procurements of goods and services across various Boeing sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a substantial volume of supplier agreements.
- Collaborate with clients to collect and evaluate information, identify potential issues and risks, and propose viable solutions during contract negotiations.
- Draft and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including services agreements, purchase agreements, and confidentiality agreements, while ensuring compliance with Boeing's policies and procedures.
- Provide clear and strategic legal advice to internal procurement teams and business clients regarding potential legal issues and risks.
- When necessary, escalate contractual concerns to Attorneys, providing comprehensive background information and suggested mitigation strategies.
- Prepare letters, memoranda, and other written communications, ensuring the confidentiality and security of all communications.
- Work independently to resolve issues while also consulting with Attorneys on complex matters.
- Oversee and maintain Law Department projects, processes, and practices.
- Exhibit a cooperative and positive attitude, effectively communicating with diverse internal clients.
- Participate in team-oriented tasks and contribute to the development of legal training programs for internal client groups.
- Conduct legal research as needed, utilizing specialized software and other resources, and prepare legal memoranda for Attorney review.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Work Environment: This position is hybrid, requiring a combination of onsite and remote work as determined by the hiring team.
Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial contracting, either in-house or with a law firm.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 8 years of experience, including in-house experience with a large corporation, focusing on commercial contracts and procurement.
