Job Summary

The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is a key member of our maintenance team, responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance work orders in SAP. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with the maintenance team and production personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and schedule maintenance work orders in SAP, ensuring that all necessary parts and materials are ordered and available.
  • Develop and manage the daily maintenance work schedule, ensuring that all technicians are utilized efficiently.
  • Lead weekly meetings with the maintenance team and production personnel to coordinate the following week's work and negotiate downtime windows.
  • Prepare a weekly forecast of all jobs expected to be scheduled for the following week.
  • Maintain a backlog of work orders and analyze them relative to available craft personnel and parts.
  • Expedite parts as needed and work with outside vendors/contractors to obtain quotes and service reports.
  • Develop and update preventative maintenance work (PMs) required to ensure long-term reliability of equipment.
  • Follow up with technicians to ensure completed work orders have time confirmed and comments entered.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in maintenance or a related field; SAP experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including Windows, Microsoft Office, and file management.
  • Strong knowledge of maintaining manufacturing equipment (mechanical and electrical).
  • Basic math skills and strong written and verbal communication skills.
