Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full-cycle accounting process, including the general ledger, journal entries, and month-end close, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare and maintain financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss statements, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to management.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely invoicing and payments, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Handle payroll processing, including tax filings and benefits administration, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Prepare financial reports and present them to management for decision-making, providing clear and concise explanations of financial performance.
  • Assist with budget preparation, financial forecasting, and cash flow management, providing recommendations to management on financial planning and strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations, preparing tax filings and maintaining accurate records.
  • Maintain and organize all financial records, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and providing support to external auditors and tax professionals during audits or tax preparations.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensuring the security and integrity of financial data.
  • Use accounting software to manage all bookkeeping functions, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.


Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Senior Accounting Professional or in a similar accounting role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software, including MS Office (especially Excel), and experience with financial reporting and analysis.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team, providing clear and concise explanations of financial performance.


Education & Experience:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not required), with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • 5+ years of experience in full-charge bookkeeping, with a strong background in financial reporting, analysis, and compliance.
  • Experience with payroll, tax preparation, and financial reporting, with a strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
