Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to become a vital part of our dedicated cancer care team at PeaceHealth.
The oncology team comprises experienced Medical Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, Nurse Practitioners, Oncology Certified Nurses, and various support professionals. Our providers rotate to serve satellite clinics, ensuring comprehensive care across multiple locations. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with a Medical Oncologist under a new care model.

- Utilization of Epic EMR for efficient patient management
This position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement, and multiple openings may be available.
Compensation and Benefits:
- First-year salary range: $131,123-$166,150 based on experience

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough history and physical examinations, interpreting lab results to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Order and perform necessary diagnostic tests and procedures.
- Assist in surgical procedures and provide ongoing patient assessments.
- Prescribe medications and manage treatment plans within the scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document treatment progress.
- Educate patients on preventive care and treatment options.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
- Certification: Must be board certified by AAPA or AANP.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of experience as a Physician Assistant is preferred.
- Licensure: Active Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license in Washington state, or eligibility to obtain by start date.
- Required Certifications: Basic Life Support certification upon hire.
Skills Required:
- Strong understanding of age-specific care principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and quality patient care.
- Basic computer proficiency.
Work Environment:
- Position involves working in a medical/hospital setting.
