About Our Neuro Trauma UnitOur Neuro Trauma Unit is a 25-bed facility that specializes in providing care to patients with neurological, neurosurgical, and trauma-related injuries. Our team of dedicated nurses and healthcare professionals work together to provide individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care to our patients. The Nurse Resident in our Neuro Trauma Unit will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to our patients. This includes assessing patient condition, performing procedures, and documenting care in the patient medical record. The successful candidate will be a recent nursing graduate with a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices. Responsibilities- Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift as scheduled, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s)
- Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner
- Perform exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and anticipating patient needs
- Teach patients, families, and caregivers about patient medical condition, patient status, treatment plan, medications, and possible side effects
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of employment
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 1 year of employment
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State
