Cherokee Nation is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist I, II, or III to join our Radiology team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing radiologic procedures and providing high-quality images to aid in patient diagnosis.
Key Responsibilities- Operate radiologic equipment for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
- Coordinate with nursing and medical staff to ensure proper preparatory procedures are performed.
- Monitor patient condition during imaging procedures and alert physicians of any complications.
- Provide radiologists with high-quality images to aid in diagnosis.
- Comply with all radiologic safety regulations.
- Properly position patients and imaging equipment prior to procedures.
- Administer oral or injected contrast prior to procedures when necessary.
- Create and maintain reports regarding patient data and radiologic treatment records.
- Schedule patients for routine and specialized radiographic studies.
- May clean, repair, maintain, and make minor adjustments to instruments and equipment.
- Associate's degree from a 2-year college or technical school in Radiology, or equivalent experience.
- Certification in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Attentiveness.
- Technical expertise.
- Manual dexterity.
- Customer/client orientation.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move more than 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
