Job Summary:

As a Radiographer II, you will play a crucial role in coordinating the day-to-day operations of the radiology department. This includes ensuring the delivery of quality services in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and professional standards.

You will participate in the development of strategic plans and effectively monitor and operate within established goals while maintaining compliance with American College of Radiology (ACR) hospital, federal and state regulations.

This is a team-oriented position that requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, co-workers, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS), as well as experience with CT equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate radiology equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes under the direction of a physician.
  • Use radiation safety measures and protection devices for government regulations and patient safety.
  • Lead, plan, and coordinate the daily operations of the radiology department through interactions with support and technical staff, radiologists, and others as necessary.
  • Assign, monitor, and review progress and accuracy of work and provide technical guidance.
  • Maintain positive work relationships with physicians and radiologists.
  • Ability to set priorities and rely on experience, judgment, and time management skills to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Present a positive team-oriented attitude and professional appearance.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with members of the healthcare delivery team and staff.

Requirements:

  • Certification - American Registry of Radiologic Technology.
  • Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of surgical C-arm experience in the Radiology fields or related area preferred.
  • BLS healthcare required within 30 days of hire.
