Job Summary

Equus Workforce Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant Instructor to join our team. As a Medical Assistant Instructor, you will be responsible for providing students with career technical training instruction in assigned areas, classroom management, and curriculum development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality instruction to students in a regular classroom setting, presenting instructions from the curriculum in accordance with Job Corps requirements and program specifics.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and demonstrate the ability to manage the classroom environment and classroom discipline for effective learning.
  • Participate in weekly center team meetings and actively participate in departmental and all staff meetings.
  • Complete required staff training in a timely manner and model, mentor, and monitor appropriate workplace behavior.
  • Deliver necessary accommodations to students and operate in accordance with the requirements of the PRH, Standard Operating Procedures in function area and corporate policies.
  • Evaluate and record student progress/evaluations and case notes in CIS, where appropriate, and deliver quality customer service to students.
  • Assist with student retention and maintain lesson plans relevant to course material.
  • Facilitate communication with center departments and align curriculum with Industry Standards and Training Achievement Record.
  • Develop industry partnerships that could lead to work-based learning, internships, and job placement outcomes.
  • Assist students in obtaining primary and secondary credentials and coordinate and participate with academic department for integrated learning opportunities.
  • Update electronic Training Achievement Record (eTAR) at a minimum bi-weekly and provide innovative, creative, and engaging training to the students.
Requirements
  • Must have medical assistant license.
  • Minimum of two years related experience.
  • Education: Minimum of high school diploma. Prefer bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Valid state driver's license recommended.
  • Certified, licensed, or accredited in the state in which the center is located, or is accredited by a professional trade organization.
