About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at LEAD Public Schools. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is committed to providing high-quality education to students with exceptional needs.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will design and implement data-driven lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students. They will work closely with colleagues to ensure that all students have access to a high-quality education, and be responsible for collecting data on individual student skills to determine the effectiveness of programming and measure progress toward IEP goals.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless integration of special education services into general education classrooms.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
  • Supervise education assistants to ensure effective classroom programs and address individual student needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
  • Valid Tennessee teaching license with appropriate content endorsement or ability to obtain within 90 days.
  • Minimum of two years teaching experience preferred, but not required.
