Key Responsibilities

The Project Engineer II will:

  • Conduct engineering analyses essential for renewable energy projects.
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise to address design challenges.
  • Complete electrical system studies and manage project tasks with some supervision.
  • Communicate effectively within the design and project management teams.
  • Offer technical guidance on complex issues to ensure compliance with standards such as IEEE, NESC, and NEC.

The successful candidate will tackle real-world challenges and develop solutions that enhance the reliability of the power grid. This role involves collaboration with various engineering disciplines and offers exposure to diverse challenges in the power industry.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will:

  • Work with minimal supervision while producing accurate results in a timely manner.
  • Be proficient in system analysis and scheduling.
  • Communicate effectively regarding information inadequacies and provide recommendations.
  • Lead modeling and evaluation of transmission and distribution systems to meet client needs efficiently.
  • Review peer work to uphold quality standards.
Client Interaction

Must maintain a professional demeanor while interfacing with clients and industry professionals, ensuring a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities will include a range of studies related to electric utility and renewable integration, such as:

Additional Duties

Other responsibilities may include managing system analysis stages, collaborating with other engineering disciplines, and assisting in the development of company and client standards.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: B.S. in Electrical Engineering required; M.S. is a plus.

Experience: Minimum of two years of relevant experience.

Certifications: Engineer Intern (EI) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.

Software Proficiency: Familiarity with ETAP, Milsoft EA WindMil, EasyPower, EMTP-RV, CYMTCC, PSS/E, PSCAD, SKM, Office Suite, Python, and Lua is advantageous.
