Job Title: Project Engineer II

Booth & Associates, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer II to join our Renewables Studies and Utility System Planning team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing engineering analysis, providing technical expertise, and leading design problems to solve.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with a minimum of two years of experience in a related field. You will be expected to work under some supervision, but will be responsible for accurately producing required results in a timely fashion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of tasks, including technical expertise and leadership to solve design problems, complete electrical system studies, and manage individual project tasks.
  • Provide technical guidance on unusual or complex problems to comply with applicable standards, such as IEEE, the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) and NEC as applicable.
  • Work in a collaborative environment and gain experience in a variety of challenges facing the power industry today.
  • Interface directly with Clients and other industry professionals, representing the very best of Booth & Associates at all times.
  • Assist in the continued development of both Company and Client standards.

Requirements:

  • B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering required. M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus.
  • Minimum two (2) years of applicable experience required.
  • Engineer Intern (EI) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification required. Professional Engineer (PE) certification is a plus.

Preferred software experience: ETAP; Milsoft EA WindMil; EasyPower; EMTP-RV; CYMTCC; PSS/E; PSCAD; SKM; Office Suite; Python; Lua.
