The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) is seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team at Ironwood State Prison. As an LVN, you will provide high-quality patient care to inmates in a correctional setting, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Responsibilities- Provide basic and technical level of general nursing care to patients in a variety of correctional health care settings.
- Ensure the delivery of appropriate and timely health care to patients, pursuant to the LVN scope of practice.
- Provide technical patient care under valid authorization by a provider's order and the delegation and clinical direction of the RN.
- Support the care team for daily health care operations and communicate effectively with patients and other members of the healthcare team.
- Address the ongoing needs of patients, work with physicians and other healthcare providers, and promote the efficient, appropriate, and cost-effective use of healthcare resources.
- Possession of a valid, active license from the State of California to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
- Minimum Qualifications: Possession of a valid, active license from the State of California to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
Travel may be required.
