Part-Time Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Psychiatric Technician

At STARS Behavioral Health Group, we're committed to making a positive impact on mental healthcare. As a part-time Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT), you'll be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing exceptional care to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Observe, document, and report on clients' physical or mental condition to the Registered Nurse and attending physician.
  • Administer medication according to physician's orders and confirm delivery from the pharmacy.
  • Write daily summaries of clients as assigned.
  • Participate in morning rounds, change of shift meetings, and treatment team meetings.
  • Provide nursing duties, including first aid and medical intervention within the scope of licensure.
  • Communicate pertinent information to team members.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited school of LVN or LPT required.
  • Associate's degree in nursing or social sciences preferred.
  • One year of nursing experience, preferably in an inpatient setting, required.
  • One year of medication administration experience preferred.
  • A valid California LVN or LPT license is required.
About Our Facility:

Our 24/7 inpatient involuntary program serves acute youth (ages 5-17) in a 16-bed facility. We offer intensive treatment programs with individualized care plans and are available for contracting with Central Valley counties.

Moves clients through five phases: admission, engagement, learning, stabilization, and linkage to resources and aftercare.
