We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Pediatric Mental Health Registered Nurse. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will contribute to the provision and management of care to adult mental health patients and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care for patients and families, maintaining a practice environment that reflects the ANA Code for Nurses and the Philosophy of Nursing at UnityPoint Health-Des Moines.
- Collaborate with other care givers to maintain a safe and therapeutic milieu.
- Utilize therapeutic communication skills to facilitate patient and family recovery from mental health crises.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Newly licensed nurse within the last 6 months.
- Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa.
- Completion of residency program within the first 12 months of employment.
