Occupational Therapist Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team at The SpOT Clinic in Gulf Shores. As a key member of our pediatric therapy team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the daily living and educational skills of children with diverse conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide client-centered services for improved performance in school, home, and the community.
  • Document therapist documentation in a timely manner.
  • Inform Lead OT of resources, evaluations, and protocols that need to be ordered.
  • Attend weekly staffing meetings and perform treatment to assigned patients as indicated on the schedule.
  • Treat clients, including additional tasks to provide patient care, and document progress in SOAP notes.
  • Submit treatment charges before leaving the clinic each day and maintain appropriate cleanliness.
  • Identify any concerns to Lead OT and participate in fun social media and community awareness efforts.
  • Communicate and teach the positive culture and core values of The SpOT Clinic to families and the community.
  • Foster an environment that promotes communication and accountability among team members.
Qualifications:
  • Professional behavior and hands-on experience with computer programs and creative media.
  • Familiarity with ADLs evaluation tools and ability to manage patients with different types of personalities and behaviors.
  • Current knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and drive to continually learn and grow in the profession.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and valid license to practice occupational therapy assistant or be in the process of obtaining a license.
  • Possesses expertise in utilizing Google Suite products professionally.
