  • Operate laboratory computer systems to document specimen information, patient registration, and order entry.
  • Interact with patients, family members, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth specimen collection and processing.
  • Meet regulatory standards for specimen handling, storage, and transportation.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and laboratory operations.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure efficient specimen processing and timely test results.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, including inventory management and special projects.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a Phlebotomy, Medical Laboratory, or Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, computer data entry, and organizational skills.
  • One year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Certification from a National Accredited Program is a plus.

Work Environment:

This is a per diem, as-needed position, with a TBD work schedule.
