HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital is a 215-bed acute care hospital that provides emergency, diagnostic, medical, and surgical services. We are Joint Commission accredited and offer various specialties, including women's services with labor and delivery, post-partum, and nursery.

We are seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Labor and Delivery RN, you will provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high-quality, efficient care in a high-acuity environment.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure.
  • Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
  • Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
  • American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.

About the Job

You will assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the care of laboring mothers. You will assist in delivery, including C-sections, instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions, maintain and review patients' records, and administer medications in accordance with physician orders.

Salary and Location

This is an estimated salary range: $68,000 - $92,000 per year, depending on experience.
