Sterile Processing Technician I

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician I to join our team at UCHealth. As a Sterile Processing Technician I, you will be responsible for performing entry-level core sterile processing functions, including instrument and equipment decontamination and cleaning, visual inspection, and sterilization.
Responsibilities:
- Decontaminate and clean instruments and equipment following IFU's, disassembling items as needed.
- Perform visual inspections of instruments and equipment prior to assembly and packaging.
- Perform sterilization of instruments and equipment based on IFU's, inspecting and ensuring all external indicators, filters, and labels are appropriate.
- Conduct routine cleaning and sterilizer testing, including biological monitoring, leak testing, and Bowie-Dick tests as needed.
- Document work performed using instrument tracking software or paper documentation as required.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Certification as a CSPDT (Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) from CBSPD or CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) from HSPA.
