Job Summary:

UCHealth is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician I to join our team. This role is responsible for performing entry-level core sterile processing functions, including instrument and equipment decontamination and cleaning, visual inspection, and sterilization.

Responsibilities:
  • Decontaminate and clean instruments and equipment according to IFU's and manufacturer's instructions.
  • Perform visual inspections of instruments and equipment prior to assembly and packaging.
  • Perform sterilization of instruments and equipment according to IFU's and manufacturer's instructions.
  • Document work performed using instrument tracking software and paper documentation.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action to meet deadlines.

Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification as a CSPDT (Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) from CBSPD or CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) from HSPA.
