- Position: Yard Operations Supervisor
- Location: San Bernardino, CA
- Steel Handling Experience Required: Yes
- Compensation: $23.00 per hour
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Shift Hours: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Employment Type: Temporary to Permanent Opportunity
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise yard personnel effectively.
- Coordinate with management to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized yard environment.
- Oversee all cutting operations.
- Provide courteous service to walk-in customers.
- Safely load customer vehicles following established protocols.
- Prepare trucks for deliveries.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of steel products.
- Understand cutting and processing machinery.
- Familiarity with receiving and stocking methods.
- Communicate issues regarding orders to management.
- Comply with company policies and safety regulations.
- Maintain professionalism in interactions with customers and colleagues.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Prior experience in steel operations is essential.
- Experience in a supervisory or foreman role is required.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including heavy lifting.
