We are seeking a highly skilled Customs Support Agent to join our team at DHL Express. As a Customs Support Agent, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth clearance of shipments and compliance with government regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Make contact with customers to obtain correct documentation and ensure compliance with US Customs regulations.
  • Research tariff codes through government websites and process requests for extensions and cancellations of shipments.
  • Supply missing customer information and maintain lines of communication with all departments.
  • Review documents to determine information needed for Customs clearance and communicate with origin and destination locations regarding shipment status.
  • Verify shipment documents for accuracy and assign shipments for correction.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Overtime is required
  • 1-3 years of customer service experience preferred
  • 1 year experience in transportation or customs preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database applications
