Cardiovascular Technologist Specialist

As a Critical Care Specialist, you will assist with all invasive cardiovascular procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and Georgetown University Hospital's philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians during procedures, including patient care, performing quality controls, and starting IV's, EKG monitoring, cardiac outputs, and prepping and draping patients.
- Perform assorted patient care responsibilities for adults, including assisting with cardiovascular invasive procedures such as; R & L heart catheterizations, PTCA, intra-aortic balloon pump, permanent/temporary pacemakers, electrophysiology studies, pericardiocentesis, etc.
- Participate in the orientation, training and in-services for cardiovascular technologists and other staff in the department.
- Record and interpret hemodynamic data using Marquette monitors.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's of Science preferred.
- High School Diploma, relevant certifications, and a minimum of six months experience in the field required.
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year.
