About the Role:
The Logistics Analyst will play a crucial role in providing high-level analysis on transportation KPIs, including ocean shipping and inland shipping. This position will support the development and maintenance of logistics dashboards to maximize data trends and drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and conduct strategic logistics projects, collaborating with internal customers on requirements and selection criteria.
- Lead supplier contract negotiations and design, analyze, and assist in the implementation of international supply chain solutions.
- Support logistics manager on special projects and initiatives, optimize visibility, reporting, and drive cost reduction inside the supply chain.
- Create and analyze shipping reports and invoices, support logistics dashboards with actionable tasks, and troubleshoot and problem-solve in real-time shipping issues.
- Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations, set up and follow up on shipments to ensure proper execution and timely delivery, and prepare shipping documentation.
- Manage shipments in customer portals and perform daily interaction/coordination with truck drivers to ensure smooth shipping operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a relevant field.
- 3-5 years of logistics or supply chain management experience in areas such as manufacturing, purchasing, or other areas.
- Previous ocean shipping and inland shipping experience required.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management, thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented, dynamic organization with time-sensitive deadlines.
- Strong analytical, negotiating, problem-solving, and financial analysis skills, proficient computer skills utilizing software applications such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and ability to create dashboards using Excel or Smartsheet.
- Strong communication skills – oral, written, and presentation skills required, experience with EV battery manufacturing preferred, and ability to obtain dangerous goods certification (49-CFR/IATA/IMDG) for batteries.
