Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Fairfield Inn Scranton. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's equipment and systems.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving issues with hotel systems and equipment.
  • Perform tasks such as changing light bulbs, replacing filters, and performing minor repairs.
  • Monitor and maintain energy conservation efforts.
  • Respond to alarms and emergencies, and report findings to the Front Desk.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Requirements
  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Licensed in a trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.) preferred.
  • Valid driver's license for the applicable state.
  • Acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Driving Record) property specific.
