Position Overview:
We are in search of a qualified and experienced Construction Estimator to become a vital part of our team. This permanent role involves evaluating costs and preparing estimates for a range of construction projects. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring our projects are financially sound and competitive in the market. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, possess a deep understanding of construction methodologies, and excel in budgeting and cost analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Review blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documents to generate time, cost, and labor estimates for construction projects.
  2. Perform detailed material take-offs and estimate costs for materials, labor, and equipment necessary to meet contract requirements.
  3. Maintain a comprehensive directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
  4. Communicate with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors regarding modifications and adjustments to cost estimates.
  5. Present and clarify project budgets to clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
  6. Evaluate design alternatives and recommend optimal solutions based on cost, engineering quality, or material availability.
  7. Establish and oversee the tendering process, including negotiations.
  8. Monitor project progress, verify detailed cost estimates, and identify discrepancies.
  9. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in construction estimation.


Qualifications:
  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Estimator or in a comparable role.
  2. Proficient in analyzing blueprints and technical documentation.
  3. Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
  4. Solid grasp of financial and accounting principles.
  5. Advanced skills in budgeting, cost estimation, and financial management.
  6. Proficient in relevant software, including CAD, MS Office, and estimation tools.
  7. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  8. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  9. Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  10. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
