About the Role

System One is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our team in Los Angeles. As a key member of our community program, you will provide culturally sensitive and linguistically appropriate mental health services to individuals and groups in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct client intake and screening processes, adhering to established guidelines and protocols.
  • Promote and deliver behavioral health and psychosocial support services to diverse consumers.
  • Provide clinically supervised individual counseling, group support, and case management services under the direction of a professional mental health clinician.
  • Conduct field-based community mental health services off-site at various locations, including residential and outpatient settings.
  • Maintain care team protocols and policies under professional clinical supervision.
  • Conduct community outreach and engagement activities to prospective clients.
  • Provide necessary program documentation, including the completion of reports, administration of evaluation tools, and other program-related assignments.
  • Attend unit, case conferences, agency, and community meetings.
  • Maintain and uphold System One's mission statement, values, policies, procedures, and principles.
Requirements
  • Licensed, registered, or eligible MSW, MFTI, Psychology Assistant, or equivalent.
  • Bilingual in Mandarin/Chinese.
  • Experience in clinical social work and/or marriage and family therapy.
  • Current registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
  • Strong knowledge of HIV/AIDS and related issues.
  • Basic knowledge of health and social service issues, such as HIV/AIDS, substance use, human trafficking, reentry, and housing.
  • Ability to work with clients from diverse cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to staff from a variety of cultures, languages, and educational backgrounds.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks/projects simultaneously in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to work with diverse communities, including multi-gender, ethnic, generation, bilingual, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, substance use.
  • Strong written and oral skills necessary for program narrative reporting and presentations.
  • Microsoft Office and Databases.
  • Valid California driver's license, current car insurance, and reliable transportation.
