About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Hazel Health. As a Pediatric Mental Health Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality, evidence-based mental health care to students within our partner school districts.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide virtual mental health counseling and therapeutic interventions to an assigned caseload of K-12 students. You will interact and build relationships with school personnel, family members, and other stakeholders working to bring accessible healthcare to students nationwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide virtual high-quality, evidence-based mental health counseling and therapeutic interventions to an assigned caseload of K-12 students.
  • Conduct initial mental health intake assessments and create individual treatment plans according to student needs and circumstances.
  • Collaborate with the care management team to ensure a successful transition into Hazel services and identify and support external transition services.
  • Obtain credentialing and additional clinical state licenses as requested by Hazel's licensing and credentialing departments.
  • Participate in trainings, meetings, and other activities as an active member of our clinical team.
  • Ensure that all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to established guidelines and requirements.

  • Required: Licensed without restrictions as a LCSW, LMFT, LPCC
  • Required: Licensed in CA and the state in which you reside
  • Additional licenses in AL, CO, FL, GA, HI, IA, MA, MD, MO, NV, PA, TX, VA, and/or WA desirable
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a school-based setting or with school-aged children
  • Can obtain an acceptable Fingerprint (FBI) Criminal Background check upon hire

  • Total compensation for this role is market competitive, with a base salary range of $57,400 - $64,150 for 10 month a year schedule
