Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Eligibility Specialist to join our team at PACE Southeast Michigan. As an Eligibility Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Medicaid and Medicare programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our staff to process Medicaid applications and recertifications, as well as handle Medicare-related matters and disenrollment processes.
  • Gather necessary information for program eligibility, including in-home visits if required, to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Document all steps taken during the application or recertification process for our candidates and enrollees.
  • Work closely with state agencies to resolve Medicaid issues affecting our participants.
  • Maintain confidentiality of participant information and adhere to our business practices.
  • Provide exceptional service to our participants and ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Assist with the intake process by screening potential participants and providing education on our programs.
Requirements
  • College degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of government benefits programs and social service programs.
  • Experience in a Medicaid field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and resolve issues effectively.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
