Physical Therapy Assistant Position

We are seeking an enthusiastic Physical Therapist Aide to join our dynamic team. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to make a difference in people's lives while growing your career.
Key Responsibilities- Scribe Role
- Record and edit therapeutic exercises under the supervision of a Doctor of Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy.
- Patient Support
- Prepare heat and ice packs; paraffin dips; assist patients to the pool; guide patients to exercise equipment.
- Monitor patient physical exertion levels; track motion; guide patients through prescribed exercises and strengthening techniques.
- Treatment Equipment Maintenance
- Complete preventive maintenance requirements; follow manufacturer instructions; troubleshoot malfunctions; call for repairs.
- Patient Education
- Demonstrate proper use of equipment and exercise routines.
- Pre-Treatment Preparation
- Welcome, comfort, and prepare patients for therapy sessions.
- Confidentiality and Safety
- Maintain patient confidentiality; keep information secure.
- Ensure a safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Live within 15-20 minutes from our office; you are responsible for transportation to and from work.
- Knowledge of therapy equipment; patient behavior and needs; proper strengthening techniques.
- Ability to complete in-service training; observe, evaluate, and record patient conditions.
- Effective communication skills; ability to maintain records and write reports.
The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth.
Work EnvironmentThis role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment; juggle multiple tasks; prioritize duties; and seek assistance when needed. Incumbents may be required to assist with accommodations for disabled individuals.
