Position Overview:
The incumbent will be responsible for spearheading strategic planning initiatives, coordinating annual reports, and overseeing internal planning activities. This role involves the development and monitoring of organizational performance metrics and crafting written strategies for engagement and planning.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct independent research to gain a comprehensive understanding of national security challenges and initiatives essential for operational success.
- Identify and analyze gaps or overlaps in oversight based on thorough research and feedback from senior leadership and oversight bodies.
- Lead intricate projects aimed at enhancing agency performance and refining organizational planning to meet established goals.

Advisory Role:
- Provide guidance to working groups and team members to share best practices, ensure adherence to project timelines, and collaborate with management on implementing recommendations.

Required Skills:
- Ability to influence stakeholders to appreciate the long-term strategic importance of initiatives, propose alternative solutions, and effectively communicate recommendations while adhering to relevant standards.

Conditions of Employment:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- This position requires a Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance.
- Compliance with the DoD Standards of Conduct is mandatory.

Qualifications:
- Candidates must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal service, including experience in leadership roles at the organizational level, leading cross-functional teams, and developing engagement strategies.

Education:
- Education cannot substitute for experience at this grade level.

- The role may require a probationary period and adherence to specific agency policies regarding employment and conduct.
