Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team at Edgewood Manor of Greenfield. As a key member of our nursing department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of patient care and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management: Assist in training, teaching, and monitoring the nursing staff to ensure they are equipped to provide exceptional patient care.
- Clinical Operations: Manage clinical operations, develop care plans, and conduct patient rounds to address complaints and concerns.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor nursing staff, nursing activities, and patient care to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local rules and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Additional Job Responsibilities:
- Attendance and Meetings: Mandatory attendance at morning meetings, clinical meetings, and staffing meetings daily, Monday through Friday.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in RAP-checks on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
- Support and Coverage: Help cover shifts when other nurse managers are on vacation or absent.
- Preparation and Compliance: Be prepared for state surveys and ensure all necessary documentation is up-to-date.
- Employee Relations: Handle employee disciplinary actions and complete tasks assigned by the Director of Nursing when they are absent.
- Audit and Quality: Conduct audits of Med Carts, assist with discharges, and maintain incident/accident logs.
- Education and Training: Provide education and training to nursing staff and STNAs, and ensure new chart audits are completed.
- Meetings and Communication: Attend care conferences, meetings applicable to nursing, and assist with TBs for new employees.
- Resident Concerns: Handle resident concerns and assist with monthly and annual logs.
