Job Title: Avionics Systems Specialist

About the Job:

The Dassault Falcon Jet Corp seeks an experienced Avionics Systems Specialist to support aircraft electrical and wire routing design based on customer specifications. As an Avionics Systems Specialist, you will work with minimal supervision, using analytical skills, particularly attention to detail, to learn and practice successful design. This includes learning how to plan, schedule, correct, and document the design, eventually performing design independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain knowledge of general electrical and wire routing principles
  2. Continually research and find appropriate guidance for design principles
  3. Read customer specifications and determine work scope
  4. Develop electrical interface drawings per customer specification
  5. Compile Aircraft Load Analysis
  6. Ensure specified systems conform to applicable regulations and can be approved on the aircraft
  7. Assist in completing the required documentation to obtain design approval through both STC and Mod processes
  8. Develop test procedures to evaluate new system designs
  9. Take lead on small design projects
  10. Draft on CAD program. Autocad is preferred
  11. Ensure company procedures and processes are followed
  12. Assist in resolving production related issues
  13. May be required to support electrical/avionics efforts at other locations/sites

Requirements:

  • Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or other engineering related field
  • Two (2) years of experience with corporate aircraft
  • Working knowledge of CATIA, AutoCad, Electre, or similar
  • Must have strong organizational and planning skills
  • Strong attention to details
  • Good communication skills, both orally and written
  • Must have working knowledge of MS Office Suites
  • Estimated salary range: $95,000 - $125,000 per year
