We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Support Staff Technician to join our team at Meridian Health Services. As a key member of our primary care office in Anderson, you will provide administrative support and services to our patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Communication and Consultation: Maintain a professional, customer-focused environment by communicating effectively with all center staff, clients, and the general public.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Answer incoming telephone calls, schedule/reschedule appointments for primary care and behavioral providers, and take messages or route to appropriate extensions.
- Financial Transactions: Collect patient co-pays and payments at registration and perform general cashier duties.
- Medical Records Management: Retrieve medical records from outside providers and create medical record charts for new patients, maintaining a working knowledge of release of information procedures per Meridian policies and procedures.
- Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required; two years of secretarial/office experience preferred; previous experience in a medical setting strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Computer proficiency and ability to type and/or use a computer to complete data entry and telephone duties.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills (both verbal and written), ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks, and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
