Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join our team at LATICRETE International. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for applying engineering techniques to improve manufacturing processes and products, and for leading multifunctional teams to drive results in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead new product development and request for laboratory service projects as assigned and in compliance with procedures, programs, and policies.
  • Assist in ensuring all new production processes follow all applicable company EHS policies and programs.
  • Develop and execute design of experiments for lab experiments, pilot plant scale-up, and production scale-up.
  • Analyze design of experiment data to identify results compared to expectations and opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyze production requirements of products and ensure ERP data are correct.
  • Lead process improvement team activities utilizing continuous improvement methodologies, including Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
  • Plan, develop, and implement quality and manufacturing process changes that yield improved overall equipment effectiveness, production efficiencies, yields, and rates.
  • Support capital expenditure projects as assigned.
  • Develop work instructions and provide training for operators on new and improved equipment and processes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years' engineering experience in a process manufacturing environment.
  • Handles up to high complexity issues and problems and refers only the most difficult and complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Provides assistance to other team members on up to high complexity issues.
  • Analytical thinking skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized in scheduling, executing responsibilities, and prioritizing in a multitask environment.
  • Self-starter, able to work alone with limited supervision.
  • Team player - maintain a positive, cooperative attitude with all employees of LATICRETE and all customers.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
  • Mini-Tab or other similar software.
  • Solids and liquids mixing expertise preferred.
  • Solids and liquids packaging expertise preferred.

Travel Requirement: Up to 50% (domestic and international). Must have or be able to obtain a passport.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift: Must be able to lift and/or carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Push/Pull: Must be able to push/pull 25 pounds.
  • Standing: Must be able to stand at least 50-75% of the day.
  • Sitting: Must be able to sit 25-50% of the day.
  • Twisting/Bending: Must be able to twist/bend 50-75% of the day.
  • Squatting, Climbing, and/or Crawling: Must be able to squat/climb/crawl 20% of the day.
