Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language disorders in bilingual students, utilizing evidence-based practices and protocols.
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs, goals, and learning styles.
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services in both English and Spanish, adapting to the diverse needs of students.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication goals, fostering a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing input on student progress and strategies to enhance communication abilities.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Texas SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and educators.
  • Experience in providing speech-language services in a school setting, with a strong understanding of educational environments and protocols.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators and support staff.
