Job Title: Deputy Sheriff

Jefferson County is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Deputy Sheriff to join our team. As a Deputy Sheriff, you will be responsible for maintaining law and order, enforcing laws and regulations, and providing support to the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enforce laws and regulations, including traffic laws and ordinances
  • Investigate crimes and gather evidence
  • Make arrests and take individuals into custody
  • Provide support to the community, including responding to emergency calls and providing assistance to citizens
  • Work closely with other law enforcement agencies and community organizations to achieve common goals
Requirements:
  • Must have attended a law enforcement academy and acquired POST Certification
  • Must have a valid driver's license issued by the State of Colorado
  • Must be physically able to perform the duties of the job, including operating a variety of machinery and equipment
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in law enforcement or a related field
  • Knowledge of modern law enforcement practices, procedures, and investigation techniques
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions
