Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Deputy Sheriff to join our team at the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. As a Deputy Sheriff, you will be responsible for maintaining law and order, enforcing laws and regulations, and providing public safety services to our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce laws and regulations, including traffic laws and ordinances
  • Investigate crimes and gather evidence
  • Make arrests and take individuals into custody
  • Provide public safety services, including emergency response and crisis intervention
  • Work with other law enforcement agencies and community organizations to maintain public safety
Requirements
  • Must have attended a law enforcement academy and acquired POST Certification
  • Must have a valid driver's license issued by the State of Colorado
  • Must be physically able to perform the duties of the job, including operating a variety of machinery and equipment
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and efficiently in a variety of technical and professional languages
Working Conditions

Deputy Sheriffs work in a variety of settings, including patrol vehicles, detention facilities, and courtrooms. They may be exposed to hazardous conditions, including physical confrontations and emergency situations.
