We are in search of a Lead Solutions Architect to become a key member of our Enterprise Technology team, spearheading the planning and design of our essential applications and technology frameworks.

In this role, you will engage with diverse stakeholders to ensure that business and IT strategies are aligned, adapting plans to meet evolving business and operational requirements. You will evaluate trends and disruptions, analyzing and communicating their implications for our desired business outcomes. As a visionary, you will craft narratives that illustrate the future state and support strategic planning.

As part of the Enterprise Architecture team, you will oversee the development of roadmaps, reference models, architectures, solution designs, and risk assessments. Additionally, you will mentor and guide other architects, product owners/managers, and business stakeholders to foster architectural thinking.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Alignment

  • Facilitate the alignment of business and IT by comprehending business strategies, objectives, and priorities, translating them into IT strategies and roadmaps.
  • Adapt to shifting business and operational models by assessing the current state, identifying gaps and opportunities, and proposing solutions.
  • Support various operational frameworks (both project and product-centric) by providing architectural guidance, governance, and oversight.
  • Drive the evolution of the Enterprise Architecture team's services and operational model through best practices, processes, and tools.
Visionary Communicator
  • Analyze technology trends and evaluate their impact on our targeted business outcomes through research, benchmarking, and scenario planning.
  • Craft narratives to visualize the future state and stimulate long-term planning by presenting compelling visions, architectures, and roadmaps.
  • Communicate the value of enterprise architecture and its portfolio of services by developing and delivering effective communication strategies, materials, and presentations.
Technical Leadership
  • Engage with business and IT stakeholders, building and maintaining relationships, and collaborating on strategic initiatives and projects.
  • Provide expertise in designing and delivering critical applications and technology platforms, such as ERP, EAM, HRIS, cloud solutions, integrations, and networking.
  • Mentor and guide other architects, product owners/managers, and business stakeholders to cultivate architectural thinking by sharing knowledge, insights, and feedback.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, methodologies, and best practices, such as TOGAF, Zachman, or FEAF.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence and persuade senior executives and stakeholders.
  • Robust analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the capacity to evaluate complex situations and scenarios.
  • Highly collaborative, team-oriented, and customer-focused, with the ability to build and maintain relationships across the organization.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and resilient, with the ability to embrace change and ambiguity.
  • Passionate, curious, and innovative, with the ability to learn and apply new technologies and trends.
  • Some travel between the USA and Canada may be required.
  • Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks.
