Description of Work Unit

The Department of Accounting, part of the College of Business, comprises 15 full-time faculty members. The department provides a Master of Accountancy degree and an undergraduate concentration in accounting, both of which boast impressive career placement rates and high CPA Exam pass rates.

Position Summary

The Department of Accounting at Colorado State University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month tenure-track faculty position at the Lecturer level. Candidates should be prepared to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in areas such as auditing, data analytics, financial reporting, information systems, or managerial accounting. Salary will be competitive, based on qualifications and experience.

Required Job Qualifications

Applicants must possess:
  • a Ph.D. or DBA in accounting from an AACSB accredited university (or equivalent). Candidates who expect to complete the degree prior to the position's start date will be considered;
  • a demonstrated ability or potential for excellence in accounting scholarship; and
  • a demonstrated ability or potential for excellence in teaching.
Preferred Job Qualifications
  • Preference will be given to candidates whose research interests align with those of current accounting faculty at Colorado State University.
